Warning: Early rains result in sheep worm burden

Early Rains

As highlighted in the following article, WA farmers face hardest worm control in decade , due to the early onset of the 2016 rains, the sheep worm life cycle has started prematurly. The temperature is not yet low enough to stop the worm life cycle thus the sheep industry could be looking at the most challenging year in over a decade.

Farmers need to stay vigilant on their faecal egg worm count (FWEC) status during the next few months especially 2-3 weeks prior to lambing. Please call Kojonup Ag on 98311022 with any FWEC info.
